FamilyCash was great for the first few months of my subscription. But now the developers have apparently disappeared (still no updates since December 2013). Its a real shame because it started out as a good app, and it could have become a great app if given more love.
Below is the last review I wrote…

Pros:
• Envelope budgeting without the envelopes!
• Everything is rounded to dollars, so you wont drive yourself crazy keeping tabs on missing pennies.
• No need to reconcile with your bank accounts. (In fact, theres no way to do so, but I consider this a plus.)
Cons:
• When money comes out of an envelope tied to a regular bill payment, it debits the balance remaining to be paid on that bill—even if youre not really paying that bill but just temporarily "borrowing" from it. A little too easy to burn yourself this way.
• If you miss more than one cycle of a payment thats due, it vanishes from the "Due" list; meanwhile it continues to ratchet up the count shown for overdue items.
• There used to be enthusiastic support with updates several times a month. As of this writing, the last update was in December 2013, and emails about bugs in the app get a noncommittal, were-aware-of-the-problem response—which for a $20/year service does not inspire confidence.
